Brokers are leaving the "old model" and increasingly becoming RIA's

This article describes the trend that is reshaping the investment management industry. At a faster and faster rate, brokers/financial advisors for the large brokerage houses/banks are leaving those institutions to start or join Registered Investment Advisory firms. RIAs, by law, have to act in the best interest of their clients and always work in the clients best interests concerning management fees, trading commissions, no ties to particular products and investment funds. This article shows the trend that is reshaping the industry. TD Ameritrade is one large beneficiary of this new trend. TD Ameritrade is known as one of the best custodian banks for Independent Advisors. Our experience with TD Ameritrade so far has been positive and we would give our recommendation for their services.
