Axion Financial Group's Connection to Greece
Antonios Kypreos (Owner, Director of Portfolio Management) is a first generation
Greek-American, born in Philadelphia in 1983. His father Neoklis Kypreos (Owner,
Director of Investment Strategy) immigrated to the United States in 1982 to follow the
American dream and in 1988 started his own firm in the automotive leather industry.
The Kypreos family name and origins date back to Minor Asia and like many Greeks
from Minor Asia, in the early 1920’s they had to flee persecution from their homeland
and immigrate to the nearby Aegean islands of Greece. The Kypreos family took root
in the Aegean island of Samos, before immigrating once again to the neighborhood of
Peristeri in Athens, Greece in the early 1950’s
